Hard Light

When shooting under the midday sun, the light is strong, vertical, absolute, and makes it impossible to ignore the high contrasts, shadows and burned out colors. The harsh Greek summer light has qualities that resemble the absence of light: let the pupil of your eye open and you will be dazzled by the powerful sun. These are the images I strive to capture every summer: the powerful light scorching, charring and evaporating all, just to regenerate them. Over and over.
